The Kennedy Brooks mystery has been solved! Oklahoma’s leading returning rusher had been missing from team workouts since June, resulting in a fair share of rumors and speculation. Now we know the story.
Brooks was the subject of a Title IX investigation that ultimately found no wrongdoing and ruled in favor of Brooks who had been in Norman working out at a local high school during the investigation.
Jason Kersey, from the Athletic, was the first to break this story, citing that the complainant accused Brooks of was physically violent towards her. The investigation concluded on Tuesday and Brooks is expected to resume workouts with the team on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Brooks was named as a member of the 2019 Preseason All Big 12 Team. He is Oklahoma’s leading returning rusher after collecting 1,056 yards on the ground in 2018. The redshirt sophomore is expected to be a key part of the OU offense again in 2019.
