As originally reported by CFPTalkDaily, it appears as though Tre Norwood suffered an ACL tear during the Oklahoma Sooners first practice.
One year ago, Norwood started all 14 games of the season. Recording 58 tackles along side five pass breakups and an interception, the budding defender hoped to anchor an improving defense. Despite Alex Grinch entering the equation, Norwood remained a front-runner for one of the starting CB position up for grabs. Now the coaching staff must focus on other options.
The primary candidate to replace Norwood due to injury is none other than Parnell Motley. As a veteran of the group, Motley appeared in 39 games with 21 starts as a Sooner. Of course, Starrland Baldwin hopes to enter his name into the mix. Recovering from an injury himself, Baldwin remains a talent the fanbase has yet to see in action.
