When your team is on a bye-week the last thing you want to see is them in the headlines. That’s where Oklahoma found itself on Saturday afternoon when news broke that placekicker Calum Sutherland had been arrested earlier that morning.
Sutherland was arrested at 4:46 a.m. and was taken to Cleveland County Jail by the County Sheriff. According to 247Sports, the complaint against Sutherland was public intoxication.
The University has yet to release a statement on the matter but you can take it to the bank that Sutherland will not enjoy his extra practice requirements this week.
