The Oklahoma City Thunder (5-8) went down to the wire last night against the Los Angeles Clippers (9-5), but Paul George hit a dagger 3 with 25 seconds left to give the Clippers the lead for good to win 90-88.

Despite the tough loss, it’s good to see the Thunder continuing to fight, and while they did not shoot particularly well—37.3% from the field and 25.9% from three—the defense was impressive in shutting down a team that was coming off a 150-point performance.

Tonight, the Thunder plays in the same building as last night, but this time, it’s against the Los Angeles Lakers (11-2). The Lakers could easily be labeled the best team in the NBA right now, and with Lebron James and Anthony Davis paired up, the Thunder could be in for a long night.

The key to tonight’s game for OKC is to contain LA’s superstars as best as they can, which is obviously no easy task. If even one of those guys starts hitting shots, look out.
