Oklahoma cornerback Tre Brown only made one tackle in Saturday’s Big 12 championship game but it was potentially the biggest one of the day…even though is occurred 78 yards downfield from the line of scrimmage.
With the Sooners leading 23-20 Baylor quarterback Jacob Zeno hit received Chris Platt in stride on a play that looked like it was going to go the distance for a certain Baylor touchdown. However, instead of hitting pay dirt Platt was tackled from behind by Brown ultimately resulting in a Baylor field goal to tie the game.
Oklahoma’s defense had five players record at least one sack and eight players record at least one tackle for loss in a performance that forced the Bears to use three quarterbacks. However, among all the big plays, you have to wonder what would have happened had Tre Brown not made his one tackle on the day?
