Oklahoma’s coaching staff wasted no time in hitting the recruiting trail following the team’s 30-23 win over Baylor in the Big 12 championship, and Blinn College defensive tackle Josh Ellison was a benefactor of Oklahoma’s sense of urgency.
At 6-3/295, Ellison is rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports, who also has him as the nation’s #2 JUCO defensive tackle prospect. He also holds scholarship offers from Texas A&M and Texas Tech as the early signing period approaches.
Originally a Texas A&M commit for 2018, it looks like it’ll be down to the Sooners and Aggies to land him in 2020. Based on a photo of his visit with Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn I would say that Oklahoma’s chances are pretty good.
