M. Hofeld

As Oklahoma State fans wait for updates on the health of quarterback Spencer Sanders and a decision from running back Chuba Hubbard in regards to the NFL, a Thursday announcement made it clear that Texas A&M will be short a key defender when they play the Cowboys in the Texas Bowl.

Defensive lineman Justin Madubuike ranks fifth on the Texas A&M defense with 45 total tackles but his 5.5 quarterback sacks is the most among Aggie defenders. The McKinney, Texas native will close out his career in College Station with 105 total tackles and 11 quarterback sacks.

For Oklahoma State it means their Texas Bowl opponent loses a large portion of its pass rush. The next closes defender to Madubuike in sacks this season has less than half as many.
