Oklahoma State Basketball | Cowboys Get Wrecked In Lubbock

Lindy Waters paced Oklahoma State with 13 points but an overall poor shooting performance doomed the Cowboys in the Big 12 opener against Texas Tech. As a team, OSU shot just 28.8% from the floor while Texas Tech hit 54.5% in front of their home crowd.

The Red Raiders also held a ten rebound advantage (39-29) but did most of its damage along the glass on the defensive end where they nabbed 31 defensive rebounds.

OSU outplayed the defending Big 12 champs for the majority of the first half. They held a 21-18 lead at the 9:41 mark but the Red Raiders surged past the Cowboys, outscoring them 67-29 from that point forward.

Waters was the only Cowboy player to score in double figures and did so powered by a 3-for-7 performance from deep. Cameron McGriff and Avery Anderson posted nine points each on a combined 4-for-13 shooting performance. McGriff was able to work his way to the free throw line a team-high seven times and converted on six of them.

Freshman guard Jahmi’us Ramsey led all scorers with 18 points. Texas Tech had a total of four players score in double figures.

The Cowboys host #16 West Virginia on Monday night.
