For a half of basketball Oklahoma State took control of Tuesday night’s game against West Virginia. For a half the Cowboys set the tone of the game with strong defense and efficient offense. For a half it looked like OSU would leave Morgantown riding a three-game winning streak.
Having outscored the Mountaineers 33-28 in the first twenty minutes of the game, Oklahoma State could only muster 14 points through the entirety of the second half. West Virginia took advantage of the slump to turn a five point deficit into a comfortable 65-47 win.
OSU shot 35.3% from the floor and 21.4% from three-point range in the loss. Cameron McGriff was the only Cowboy player to score in double figures with a 19 point performance.
West Virginia had two players score in double figures with Miles McBride and Sean McNeil scoring 11 points each.
Oklahoma State now sits at 13-13 on the season and 3-10 in conference play. They’ll host Oklahoma for the second round of Bedlam this Saturday at 3:00.
