It appears as though the Sooners’ 2021 Recruiting Class will grow by at least one at the beginning of August. Set to make an announcement on the first of the month, Damond Harmon is widely thought of as an Oklahoma lean.

Currently listed as a 3-Star cornerback prospect, Harmon plays high school football in Highland Springs, Virginia. Standing 6-1, this recruit fits the mold of taller defenders on the back end that Alex Grinch continues to go after. With only six corners on the Sooner roster, Harmon could easily find a home while competing for early playing time.
Although Oklahoma was one of the final six to offer the corner, the process has clearly slowed for Harmon. Yet, the program has an uncanny ability to influence prospects through virtual visits. Standing a head above the rest in the department, is it enough to sway Harmon into a commitment on August 1?
