Oklahoma State Football | Cowboys Heavily Favored In Week 1 & Hubbard Odds On Favorite For Doak Walker Award

Looking forward to the upcoming college football season, preseason win totals and betting lines are being released by odds makers. Turning the attention toward Stillwater and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Circa Sports currently places the program in a favorable spot. Pairing up against another Power 5 program in week one, the outlet believes O-State is 17-points better than their opponent.

That’s not all! Last season, the Pokes grappled with the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis. Running wild in the season opener, Chuba Hubbard collected the first 221 rushing yards of the year. Behind the effort, the Cowboys claimed a 52-36 victory. However, it was just the start of what could be called a “breakout year” for the running back, propelling Hubbard into the Heisman conversation.

Expected to pick up where he left off, Hubbard has been listed as the odds on favorite to win the Doak Walker Award. Each and every year, the award is presented to the nation’s premiere ball carrier. Assuming Hubbard does what many expect him to do this year, the star would become the second player from the Big 12 to win the award in the past 15 years.
