Oklahoma’s latest round of COVID testing brought positive news this week. A week after it was reported that the university had 12 active cases, and 14 overall, those numbers were reduced this week.
In the latest round of testing Oklahoma reported no new cases and the total number of active cases to be a 9. That report boosts the number of recovered cases from 2 last week to 5 this week.
| OU Testing Results | July 1 | July 8 |
| Total Players Tested | 111 | 89 |
| Positive Test Results | 7 | 0 |
| Active Cases | 12 | 9 |
| Total Cases Among Players | 14 | 14 |
| Recoveries | 2 | 5 |
This biggest takeaway here, outside of players getting better, is that the precautionary measures Oklahoma is taking with players and staff is working through the first week of voluntary workouts.
