Oklahoma’s 2021 recruiting class is building an impressive arsenal of offensive talent. Now 2022 is getting off to a pretty good start as well. The Sooners already have the top quarterback in the 2021 class, two highly-touted receivers, and a key offensive lineman. Now they’ve added another 4-star receiver to the 2022 class on Tuesday.
Jordan Hudson made his commitment known, via Twitter, on Tuesday afternoon. The 6-1/180 prospect from Garland, Texas is rated by 247Sports as the #18 receiver prospect, and the #26 overall prospect from the state of Texas.
With a total of 20 scholarship offers to his credit, Hudson chose the Sooners over the likes of Alabama, LSU, Miami, Oregon, and Texas. A specialist in drag and slant routes, Hudson has a knack from leveraging his size and speed against defenders but can still turn into a downfield threat. This makes him a red zone specialists and the epitome of a possession receiver.
Hudson is just the second player to commit to the Sooners for 2022. He joins 4-star linebacker Kobie McKinzie.
