Despite starting the season with two consecutive home games, the program will play the next four contests away from home. With the bye week intact, no games during the month of October will take play in Norman, Oklahoma.

In the 9+1 format, the Sooners will host their lone non-conference opponent in Missouri State on September 12th before jumping into conference play. However, OU possesses an additional week to prepare for the Kansas State Wildcats on the 26th of the month.
