There are very few highly coveted recruits left for the 2021 cycle that are uncommitted. Fairfax, Virginia offensive tackle Tristan Leigh is one of them though. The 6-5/270 prospect is rated as the #2 overall player from the state of Virginia and the #4 offensive tackle prospect in the class. His relationship with Oklahoma quarterback commit Caleb Williams has been highly publicized and now it seems as if the Sooners are gaining traction with him.
On Thursday Oklahoma picked up two crystal ball predictions from 247Sports to land Leigh in the recruiting class. One of those was from OUInsider Brandon Drumm but the other came from Steve Wiltfong who has a 98.36% accuracy rate and is the Director of Football Recruiting for 247Sports.
Leigh has been thought to be leaning towards LSU but speculation had long been that he was far from being a lock to land in Baton Rouge. With 41 scholarship offers at his disposal there’s no shortage of options for the 5-star offensive lineman but for now it seems like Oklahoma has stepped into the spotlight.
