Oklahoma offered Sugar Land, Texas prospect Remington Strickland just over a month ago and now, according to 247Sports, the Sooners are frontrunners to land the 6-4/292 prospect who is just on the outside of the Texas Top 100 players for 2021 at 101st.
A 3-star prospect according to 247Sports, Strickland, the #7 center prospect for 2021, currently boasts 31 total scholarship offers including the likes of Baylor, Michigan, Texas, and Virginia Tech. As you can see in the video posted above he plays both sides of the ball and multiple positions along the offensive line. He has solid technique and knows how to leverage his opponent.
Today’s crystal ball prediction is the first for the Fort Bend Christian Academy prep. It carries some weight though because it comes from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
Oklahoma has 15 commits in a 2021 recruiting class that currently ranks 15th nationally and #1 in the Big 12. Bellaire, Texas guard Cullen Montgomery is the only offensive lineman committed to the Sooners in 2021 so there’s certainly room to add more.
