It looks as if for the second time in three weeks Oklahoma will have its game against West Virginia called off. After having the need to push back the game to December 12th two weeks ago due to COVID numbers in Norman, it now appears as if the outbreak in Morgantown is going to prevent the game from being played this weekend.
By way of last weekend’s 27-14 win over Baylor the Sooners qualified to play Iowa State in the Big 12 championship game. However, Oklahoma’s sloppy play in that game, due to the pause from COVID, was an indicator that the team needed more time on the field. The hope was traveling to Morgantown would better prepare them for the rematch with the Cyclones.
Oklahoma lost to Iowa State 37-30 on October 3rd. They have won six games in a row since that loss.
