Fresh off a two-game road trip, Oklahoma found little resistance from Florida A&M as they defeated the Rattlers in a 85-54 blowout.
Senior forward Kur Kuath scored a team-high 14 points and all five Sooner starters scored in double figures as the Sooners remained one of the hottest scoring teams in the conference.
Kuath was 7-of-10 from the floor in leading the Sooner scorers, he also added three blocks and pulled down 8 rebounds in a near double-double performance. Austin Reaves also nearly produced a double-double by dishing out 8 assists to go along with his 12 points.
As a team the Sooners shot 46.9% from the floor and 37.5% from three-point range. On the other end, Oklahoma held the Rattlers to just 31.1% from the floor and turned them over 15 times. OU also won the battle on the glass by outrebounding Florida A&M by a margin of 39-35.
The biggest takeaway here is that the Sooners showed no signs of rust coming off their first loss of the season on Wednesday night. Oklahoma will have the week off before hosting Houston Baptist next Saturday at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Epic Milestone For Manek
Forward Brady Manek scored 10 points in the game but his made 3-point shot, on Oklahoma’s third possession, is going to be one of the major storylines from the game. The make was the 200th trey of his career, making him the tallest player in conference history to make 200 3-point shots and the first forward in program history to reach that milestone.
