Dillon Stoner hauled in six passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns against Baylor…in the first half! That’s not too shabby for a guy who hadn’t recorded a touchdown all season long and had just 283 receiving yards logged in 2020.
Stoner’s performance was the good news this Cowboys football team desperately needed. Ravaged by injuries and opt outs, Oklahoma State traveled to Waco having lost three of its last five games, including a stunner last weekend at TCU.
That wasn’t going to be the case this week though. Stoner helped lead the Cowboys to a 28-0 halftime lead and then the Pokes cruised through the final 30 minutes in route to a 42-3 victory to close the regular season.
Stoner ended the game with 8 catches for 247 yards as Oklahoma State produced 608 total offensive yards, with 347 of that coming through the air. Defensively the Cowboys suffocated Baylor, holding the Bears to 156 total yards and 3 points.
The win gives OSU a 7-3 regular season record and locks in the eighth top three finish in the conference in the last ten seasons.
