Jalen Redmond Worked Out With Sooners During Bowl Prep

Not only did Lincoln Riley confirm to a group of reporters on Friday that Kennedy Brooks and Jalen Redmond would rejoin the team in 2021, he also said the Redmond was already working out with the team during the bowl practices.

The return of Brooks will boost a group of running backs that finished the season strong, but it becomes an even bigger plus if Rhamondre Stevenson decides to declare for the NFL Draft. He has nine career 100-yard games under his belt and was a thousand yard rusher in both 2018 and 2019 when he scored a combined 18 touchdowns.

With the defensive line possibly taking multiple hits for players leaving for the NFL, you can’t place a value on Redmond’s return. In 2019 he recorded 1 tackles for loss and team-high 6.5 quarterback sacks. Having him already back with the team is nothing short of a huge sigh of relief for Oklahoma fans.
