Latest Commitment Puts Oklahoma’s 2022 Class At #5 Nationally

If you like flash, dash, power, speed, and hands then you’re really going to like Oklahoma’s newest 2022 commitment. 5-Star running back Raleek Brown made his commitment to Oklahoma known on Friday and it sent some ripples through the recruiting rankings as the Sooners jumped up three spots to #5.

It’s still way, way early in the process for 2022 but Oklahoma is certainly off to a good start. Coming off the #1 class in the Big 12, and #11 class nationally, the Sooners are already atop the conference recruiting standings once again. Brown joins 4-star commits Talyn Shelton (WR), Luther Burden (WR), Kobie McKenzie (ILB), and Jordan Hudson (WR) in Oklahoma’s 2022 class that currently only sits behind Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, and Penn State. The next closest Big 12 team is Texas at #12 (247Sports).

At 5-8/185, Brown is rated by 247Sports as the #2 running back prospect in the nation, the #3 overall prospect from California, and the #33 overall prospect nationally. The Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California), has elite speed and explosiveness. His ability as a receiver would make him a special receiver in Lincoln Riley’s offense.

Boasting 35 scholarship offers, Brown turned down the likes of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Texas, among many other to commit to the Sooners.
