Oklahoma Basketball will get to hit the floor again…we are just going to have to be a bit more patient. On Tuesday afternoon the Big 12 announced that the game that had already been pushed back from Tuesday to Wednesday was now being moved to Thursday. No tip time or television announcement has been made yet but here are some highlights from the last time the two teams met. Hopefully it’ll help hold you over.
On Monday Austin Reaves became the third Oklahoma player to earn a weekly honor from the Big 12 Conference. He shared the Player of the Week award with West Virginia’s Sean McNeil.
Reaves hit the game-winning shot against the Mountaineers, with 26 seconds remaining in the second overtime, in a near-triple-double performance that included 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He shot 50% from the field and went 7-for-7 at the foul line. Most notably, 22 of his 28 points came after the half.
Mo Gibson (January 4) and De’Vion Harmen (February 1st) have also been honored by the Big 12 this season with weekly awards.
