Last week was another big week for Oklahoma Softball and a monster week for Jocelyn Alo. The Sooner senior helped the team to a 5-0 record over the course of the week, including a sweep of the Hall of Fame Classic in Oklahoma City.

Alo was 7-for-17 from the plate last week with 10 RBIs and 25 total bases. She went yard twice in the mid-week game against UT-Arlington and has knocked at least one homer in six consecutive games now. For the season she’s leading the NCAA with 19 home runs and is currently in the midst of a 36-game hitting streak.

Known for her power at the plate, Alo delivered perhaps the biggest hit of her career on Wednesday evening when she launched a ball that hit the top of the scoreboard in center field. Oklahoma beat UT-Arlington 14-0 that night with Alo going 2-for-3 from the plate with 3 RBI. Both of her hits were home runs.

This is the first weekly honor of the season for Alo as she becomes the fourth Sooner to be recognized by the conference in 2021.
