If you’re keeping track of Oklahoma’s 2023 recruiting class then you know that the Sooners already have commitments from the nation’s #2 quarterback, #2 tight end, #3 running back, and #4 athlete. Now you can add the top receiver to the class after Brandon Inniss (Ft. Lauderdale, FL.) made his decision public on Sunday afternoon.
Holding 36 scholarship offers, the 6-0/190 Inniss chose Oklahoma among a Top 5 group of schools that also included Alabama, Florida, Miami, and Ohio State. He becomes the 6th member of an OU 2023 class that currently ranks #1 in the nation.
Innis was on campus in Norman for the ChampU BBQ back in June but the Sooners had to fend off a strong push from Miami and the summer’s end. He made two unofficial visits to The U over the summer with the first being on June 26th and the second less than a month ago on July 31st. Undoubtedly proximity to Miami helped with those visits.
Rated by 247Sports as a composite 5-star recruit, Inniss becomes the third recruit in the class with a 5-star ranking. He joins quarterback Malachi Nelson and Athlete (projected receiver) Makai Lemon as the three highest rated recruits in the class but there is legitimate potential that he may not be the final 5-star recruit to commit to Oklahoma in 2023.
