Sooners Pick Up First Commitment Of Venables Era In 4-Star QB Nick Evers

From the moment that Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby offered Nick Evers a scholarship last week it just seemed it would only be a matter of time before the Flower Mound, Texas prospect committed. After spending the weekend, with his family, in Norman Evers made it official on Monday morning that he would become a member of OU’s 2022 recruiting class.

Rated as the #8 quarterback in the class, and the #22 overall prospect from the state of Texas, per 247Sports, Evers had 26 scholarships to choose from, including the Florida Gators where he had been committed until as recently as December 7th.

In the last two seasons at Flower Mound Evers, 6-3/188, has thrown for 4,958 yards and 44 touchdowns while also running for 894 yards and 18 more scores.
