Jasiah Wagoner became the newest member of Oklahoma’s 2023 recruiting class on Monday. The 4-star cornerback, from Spanaway, Washington, became the 17th verbal commitment for Brent Venables’ first full class. He’s the eighth 4-star commitment for the class, which is currently highlighted by 5-star quarterback Jackson Arnold (Denton, Texas). Wagoner’s addition to the class bumped the Sooners up from #10 to #7 in the 247Sports class rankings and has them within reach of a Top 5 class.

Wagoner is listed as 5-11/170. 247Sports has him ranked as the #2 player from the state of Washington and the #17 corner in the class. Holding 16 scholarship offers at the moment, he chose Oklahoma over the likes of Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon, and Texas several others.
Oklahoma’s 2023 class currently covers seven different positions (QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, LB, DB, & ATH) and is made up of players from eleven different states. With a handful of other recruits, including 4-star linebacker Derrick LeBlanc, still predicted to commit to Oklahoma it really isn’t outside of the realm of possibility to see them end up with a Top 5 class for 2023.
