Why the Thunder Will Cover (+5.5)
As poorly as OKC played at times to end the season, they kicked it into another gear on Wednesday against the Pelicans. Minnesota is favored for a reason…for several reasons, actually, but the Thunder is young and perhaps too naive to believe the fact that they really shouldn’t even be in this game, so I fully expect them to be able to keep this one close if not outright pull out a win.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (228.5)
Postseason is the time that teams trim their lineups and turn up their defense. Minnesota struggled to score triple digits against a less than stellar Los Angeles Laker defense a few days ago, and I think OKC will come in focused and ready to compete. Expect these teams to get close to going over the predicted point total, but I anticipate them falling just short, so I’m taking the under.
