Sooner Nation Has Spoken | This Was Our Top Play From The SMU Game

On Sunday we asked you guys to let us know who made the best play in Oklahoma’s 28-11 win over SMU. Well…the results are in and the overwhelming majority of you selected Jalil Farooq’s 21-yard touchdown reception as the top play.

PlayResults
Jalil Farooq’s touchdown to swing momentum back to Oklahoma 57.14%
Peyton Bowen’s punt block14.29%
Dillon Gabriel to Marcus Major for the back-breaker14.29%
Justin Harrington’s interception to clinch it14.29%

The play came at a time when SMU had been building some momentum. They had stopped Oklahoma on 4th down, scored a touchdown, and then succeeded on a 2-point conversion to pull to within 14-11 of the Sooners. Then Farooq happened. It was his first touchdown of the season, and his two catches for 33 yards were his first two receptions of the season. Here’s to hoping that we see more big plays from #3 in the weeks to come.
