The dreaded push reared its ugly head again last week. Other than Zack, it was a pretty awful weekend for us, in terms of prognosticating games against the spread.

Craig
Utah (-10.5) vs. Cal | Cal has faced two other ranked opponents this season. They’ve lost both of those games by at least two scores. I like the Utes to cover in this one.
USC (+2.5) at Notre Dame | While I do think the Trojans will end up with a couple of losses this season, I don’t think it will come this weekend. USC will travel to South Bend and beat Notre Dame.
Kansas (-3) at Oklahoma State

Duke (-3) vs. NC State | The Blue Devils suffered their first loss of the season—a close one against Notre Dame—before getting a bye week to prepare for this one. I think they should be able to get a win on their own field over NC State by at least 3 points.
Kentucky (-2.5) vs. Missouri | I think this is going to be a really good game. I anticipate a shootout, and it will likely come down to the wire, so I’m taking Kentucky because they have the better coach.
Penn State (-41.5) vs. UMass | I try to stay away from spreads that go over 30 points, but UMass is terrible, and Penn State has proven that they can score at will against lesser teams. The Nittany Lions absolutely have the ability to win this one by 6 touchdowns.
Matt
Vanderbilt (+32.5) at Georgia | Look, Georgia flexed last week against Kentucky, and the Wildcats are a pretty salty team. The Bulldogs win this by four touchdowns, and a field goal, but the don’t cover.
Indiana (+33) at Michigan | I feel the same way about the Hoosiers as I do the commodores. They lose big, to the best team in the conference, but they still cover.
Purdue (+18) vs. Ohio State | The Boilermakers are the third double digit but at least they’re at home, unlike the others. Buckeyes win this one, but it’s going to be a bit closer than expected.
