Despite leading by double digits for most of the game, the Oklahoma City Thunder dropped a 128-125 decision against the Detroit Pistons in Montreal, Canada on Thursday night in their second preseason game. The Thunder’s starters and primary rotation guys handled business, and while the last line of players gave up the lead—and eventually the game—it was still an exciting night as Luguentz Dort was able to play in front of a huge crowd in his hometown.
Now the Thunder turns their attention to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will take on the Hornets in a Sunday matinee showdown. The Hornets are an organization full of drama at the moment—Miles Bridges, Kai Jones, etc.—but they have plenty of young talent, particularly in point guard LaMelo Ball, who played in just 36 games last season due to a season-ending ankle injury.
