Why the Thunder Will Cover (-3)
OKC picked up one of their best wins of the season last night in a dominant 129-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Playing another tough team in the second game of a back-to-back has meant bad news for OKC in the past, usually resulting in a let down, but this team is already playing well above their age level. While they are unlikely to shoot as well as they did last night against Minnesota, I expect them to handle the Knicks, who have not fared as well on the road as an underdog.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (240)
If OKC has another crazy shooting night, then I could see this point total hitting the over, but I don’t expect quite that. Plus, I don’t think the Knicks are going to be able to put up more than their average. New York’s offense runs through Jalen Brunson, and OKC has several defenders that could do a solid job of slowing him down.
