Oklahoma Softball moved its winning srreak to 71 games on Saturday. The Sooner lineup produced a combined 23 runs on 27 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Louisiana and Liberty at Love’s Field.
OU shut out the Ragin’ Cajuns 8-0 in its first game of the day. Senior Alyssa Brito went 3-for-3 with three doubles to back a strong pitching performance from Kierston Deal. Six different Sooners recorded multi-hit games against Liberty (8-9, 0-0 CUSA) as Oklahoma piled up a season-high 15 runs and 17 hits in a 15-3 win.
In Saturday’s second game, the Sooners produced a season-high 15 runs on a season-best 17 hits on their way to a 15-3 win over the Flames.
Jayda Coleman went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, Cydney Sanders homered and drove in four while Tiare Jennings, Kinzie Hansen, Kasidi Pickering and Alynah Torres added two-hit efforts as part of a powerful performance from Oklahoma’s lineup.

– Oklahoma’s 8-0 win was its 11th shutout of 2024.
– Kierston Deal improved her season record to 3-0.
– Nicole May earned the win against Liberty to improve her record to 6-0 on the season.
– May retired nine of the 10 batters she faced with a pair of strikeouts.
– The Sooners added seven runs against Liberty in a third inning that featured RBI hits from Rylie Boone, Kinzie Hansen and Kasidi Pickering before Cydney Sanders capped the frame with a bases-clearing into shallow left field.
