Oklahoma Sooners Bolster O-Line in 2025 Class with Third Commitment

The Oklahoma Sooners are prioritizing building a strong offensive line for the future, and their efforts in the 2025 recruiting class are paying off. Led by offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh, they’ve secured commitments from three talented linemen who will be crucial in protecting future Sooner quarterbacks and paving the way for a dominant rushing attack.

Afalava Anchors the Interior

The most recent member of the group is 4-star interior offensive lineman Darius Afalava from Skyridge High School in Utah. Ranked as the No. 230 overall prospect and No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class by Rivals, Afalava impressed with his size and power. Standing at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, he’s a perfect fit for the Sooners’ physical offensive scheme. Afalava’s commitment is a coup for Bedenbaugh, who went head-to-head with programs like Utah, Washington, and Michigan State to secure his pledge.

Adding Depth on Both Sides

While Afalava brings strength to the interior, Oklahoma hasn’t neglected other offensive line spots for the 2025 class. Bedenbaugh had already secured commitments from 3-star center Owen Hollenbeck from Melissa, Texas, and 4-star offensive tackle Ryan Fodje from Bridgeland, Texas. Both Hollenbeck and Fodje add depth and talent to the offensive line, providing options and competition within the unit.

Bedenbaugh’s Recruiting Prowess

Coach Bedenbaugh’s dedication to building a dominant offensive line is evident in his relentless pursuit of top talent. By prioritizing these commitments early, he’s ensured a solid foundation for the future of the Sooner offense. With the recruiting class continuing to take shape, it will be exciting to see if Bedenbaugh can add even more pieces to this promising group.

This focus on the offensive line bodes well for the Sooners’ future offensive success. With a strong line protecting the quarterback and creating running lanes, Oklahoma will be well-positioned to contend for championships in the years to come.
