The Oklahoma City Thunder continues their preseason on Tuesday night as they take on the Denver Nuggets on the road. The two teams will meet again in Denver in 9 days for their opening game of the regular season, so tonight’s matchup could feature a brief preview of that game.
The Thunder is technically 2-1 in preseason play thus far with one of those wins coming against the New Zealand Breakers, but the Nuggets have fallen in all 3 of their preseason games. Denver has struggled to stay healthy over the last year or so, and that continues to be the problem currently. While they still have some time to get closer to full strength before next week, it is a bit concerning that point guard Jamal Murray continues to have knee issues.
Meanwhile, OKC has a pretty clean injury report, at least at the top of the depth chart. Tonight’s game and the preseason finale against the Hawks on Thursday will likely feature a decent amount of play from the starters, but it makes sense to split time with the remainder of the roster.
