There were multiple teams on a bye last weekend in the SEC, but that didn’t stop the rankings from changing around a bit. LSU took a tumble, and Texas A&M rose all the way to the #2 spot, based on their game last weekend. The bye week wasn’t advantageous to Texas last week, as the Longhorns dropped to #4.
We had two ties this week, at spots #8 and #10. We unanimously agreed on Georgia being #1 and Mississippi State being #16. Beyond that, we had a lot of differing opinions. Make sure to check out our individual rankings below.

Craig
1. Georgia | Georgia had the week off to get rested up. They’ve got a fairly easy matchup with Florida coming up next.
2. Texas A&M | Texas A&M showed some major resilience in their win over LSU. Besides the game against Texas at the end of the season, the Aggies have a pretty easy remaining schedule.
3. Texas | The Longhorns struggled with a very good Vanderbilt team. They escaped with the win, but I felt like Texas A&M was far more impressive and deserved to move up over Texas.
4. Tennessee
5. Alabama
6. LSU
7. Ole Miss
8. Arkansas
9. Vanderbilt
10. Missouri
11. South Carolina
12. Florida
13. Oklahoma
14. Auburn
15. Kentucky | Kentucky started the season nearly beating Georgia and then they beat Ole Miss in Oxford. However, things have started to fall apart as they’ve lost their last three in a row.
16. Mississippi State | Not much to say here, this squad is still winless in conference play.
Matt
1. Georgia | Idle
2. Texas A&M | Marcel Reed ran for three second-half touchdowns to lead A&M past LSU 38-23. The Aggies are the only undefeated team in SEC play.
3. Tennessee | Idle
4. Texas
5. Ole Miss
6. Alabama
7. Missouri
8. LSU
9. Arkansas
10. South Carolina
11. Auburn
12. Vanderbilt
13. Florida
14. Kentucky
15. Oklahoma | Jackson Arnold played his best game of the season, throwing for two touchdowns, with no interceptions, but the Sooner offense lacked the firepower to keep up with Ole Miss.
16. Mississippi State | The Bulldogs have lost seven-straight games and the defense could be the worst in school history.
Zack
1. Georgia | A week off means no movement from me for the Bulldogs.
2. Tennessee | Again, no game = no change.
3. Texas A&M | A convincing win over LSU has A&M looking more and more like an SEC contender.
4. Texas
5. Alabama
6. LSU
7. Ole Miss
8. South Carolina
9. Arkansas
10. Vanderbilt
11. Missouri
12. Oklahoma
13. Florida
14. Auburn
15. Kentucky | Losing to Auburn was not a good look. They haven’t looked like the same team since beating Ole Miss.
16. Mississippi State | The Bulldogs were SMACKED by Arkansas, and now they’re looking at Ole Miss and Texas in consecutive weeks. But at least they get to play at home, right?
