Series History
The Thunder is 1-0 against the Blazers so far this season (0-0 at home, 1-0 on the road) and have 13 straight against Portland, including 6 in a row at the Paycom Center.
Why the Thunder Will Cover (-12.5)
The Thunder suffered a pretty embarrassing loss last night in San Antonio to a severely depleted Spurs squad, and that alone should give OKC fans reason to believe that a butt whooping is in order for tonight’s matchup with the Blazers. OKC has won 13 straight against the Blazers, including a 137-114 win in Portland just a few weeks ago. However, the Blazers have won 3 games in a row, including two against the Minnesota Timberwolves, so they’re obviously doing something right lately. Still, I think OKC’s need for a big win after a couple of close losses will be too overwhelming for Portland.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (224)
San Antonio shot the lights out last night against the Thunder and still managed just 110 points. The Blazers are bottom 5 in field goal percent, three-point percent, and turnovers, which is a recipe for disaster against OKC’s defense. I’m expecting a blowout win for the Thunder, but the point total is still going to be well under line.
