Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-17.5)

Utah has lost a lot of games—the most in the Western Conference and 2nd-most in the entire league—but they’re not really getting blown out a ton. Of their 31 losses, 15 have been by single digits. 10 of their losses have been by 16 points or more, but that’s only happened once in the month of January. Considering all the players from both sides that are questionable to play—PLUS the fact that OKC has Dallas at home tomorrow in the second game of a back-to-back—I’m taking Utah to cover the spread late in the game.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (228.5)

Even if Utah scores a lot late to cover the spread like I think they will, I still expect this one to stay under the point total. OKC’s defense is too good to give up too many points to a team like Utah, and the Jazz could stay under 100 even if starters don’t play much in the fourth quarter.
