The Thunder went 2-2 against the Nuggets in the regular season (1-1 at home, 1-1 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-7.5)
The Thunder enters this game on just one day of rest, while the Timberwolves have had almost a full week. OKC’s starters got to rest for pretty much the entire fourth quarter on Sunday, plus that game was in the afternoon, so that’s a little extra rest. Still, Minnesota should be fresh, so I expect this one to be a close finish to start the series. I’m taking the Thunder to win at home, but I’m taking the Timberwolves to cover the spread.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (215.5)
The Thunder played their best defensive game of the playoffs in Game 7 against the Nuggets, and the Timberwolves have allowed just a little over 100 points per game in the playoffs so far. Expect a defensive battle to start the series. As a result, I’m taking the under on the point total.
