Series History
OKC leads Minnesota 1-0 in the Western Conference Finals (1-0 at home, 0-0 on the road). The Thunder went 2-2 against the Nuggets in the regular season (1-1 at home, 1-1 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-7.5)
I expected the Timberwolves to cover the spread in Game 1, but OKC came out in dominant fashion and took care of those ideas early in the second half. Minnesota missed a ton of open threes—particularly from their solid bench trio of Naz Reid, Donte DiVincenzo, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker—so it makes sense that they’ll bounce back a little bit tonight. I fully anticipate another OKC win following the announcement of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP announcement, but the Timberwolves will just barely cover the spread.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (215.5)
OKC is on a roll defensively, and it’s not going to stop all of a sudden tonight. Minnesota will hit some of the shots they missed in Game 1, but the Thunder isn’t going to all of a sudden stop doing what they do. Youth aside, the Thunder is focused, and they’re not going to let up just because they have a 1-0 lead. This is going to be another defensive game, which will keep the point total low.
