Four-Week Heater? Week 10 Locks & Vandy’s SEC Statement Shot

For the third straight week, one of our guys delivered a perfect 3-0 weekend, and this time it was Craig joining the club. That makes three different members of the crew who’ve gone undefeated over the last three weeks — and now we’re chasing history. Can we make it four straight flawless weekends for at least one of us? That’s the mission.

Even better, it wasn’t just Craig. All four of us posted winning records last week — our best collective Saturday of the season — and it pushed the season tally back above .500 to 55-52-3. It’s been a grind, but momentum is real, the confidence is building, and now we turn the page to Week 10.

This week’s board? Loaded. We’ve got rivalry energy, playoff implications, and some spots where Vegas may not have adjusted quickly enough. And what really makes this slate fun — we’ve got multiple consensus plays inside the group, including Memphis to roll over Rice and Vanderbilt to keep it tight — or maybe even steal it — in Austin against Texas.

Caleb and Matt are both backing Memphis to continue their breakout year, while Craig and Matt are riding with Vanderbilt and their physical, confident style as they head into DKR. Meanwhile, Cincinnati vs Utah has our attention — Caleb and Zack love the Bearcats to keep things close, even in Salt Lake. And don’t forget Georgia Tech — Craig and Zack think Haynes King & company stay hot against NC State.

From Top-10 clashes to under-the-radar value plays, it’s a board with juice and we’re ready to dive in.

Let’s get into it — Week 10 Friday Locks. Who’s going 3-0 this week? Who’s riding the heater? Let’s find out.

Caleb

Memphis (-13.5) vs RiceRice has struggled this season while Memphis has been really solid. Memphis should be able to control both sides of the ball.

Cincinnati (+10.5) vs UtahCincinnati has looked like one of the best teams in the Big12. The Bearcats offense is adding around 38 points per game. The Bearcats should be able to keep this game close.

Houston (-12.5) vs WVU – Houston is playing a bad WVU team. This Houston offense should be able to do whatever they want on Saturday.

Craig

Vanderbilt (+2.5) at Texas – Vanderbilt is going on the road to face a Texas team that had to go to overtime to beat Mississippi State. After back to back wins over ranked opponents, I’m picking Vanderbilt to get the job done once again.

Georgia (-7) at Florida – I would stay away from this game if it was a prime time slot, but the Bulldogs get to go into the swamp in the afternoon. Florida is just not a great team, and Georgia is looking to prove they are still the top dogs in college football.

Georgia Tech (-5.5) at NC State – Georgia Tech will win this game due to their dual threat QB in Haynes King. He might rush for a couple touchdowns in this matchup against NC State.

Matt

Memphis (13.5) at Rice – At 7-1 the Tigers are clearly the superior team. With an explosive offense, ranking top-15 nationally in scoring and featuring a dynamic dual-threat quarterback, Memphis should be able to have their way with an Owls’ defense is highly susceptible to big plays.

Ohio State (-18.5) vs. Penn State – Ohio State’s defense allows a nation-best 5.9 points per game. They are well-equipped to shut down a struggling Penn State offense that is dealing with a shaky quarterback situation. The Buckeyes are undefeated and playing at home, while the Nittany Lions have lost four straight.

Vanderbilt (+3.5) at Texas – Vanderbilt is having another surprise season, powered by a highly efficient, run-heavy offense led by dual-threat quarterback Diego Pavia. Meanwhile the Texas offense is struggling and its quarterback, Arch Manning, is questionable to play. Give me the Commodores to cover and be in position to pull the upset outright.

Zack

Cincinnati (+10.5) at Utah – I’m really high on the Utes right now, but I’m not sure I’m double-digit spread against Cincinnati high. The Bearcats have been surprisingly good, and I think this is a one-possession game.

Texas Tech (-7) at Kansas State – The Wildcats have improved quite a bit since their rough start to the season, but the Red Raiders are just so good. I think Tech covers, even if just barely.

Georgia Tech (-5) at NC State – The Yellow Jackets have cruised for the most part so far, and I don’t see them losing focus now. I’ve got them covering on the road.
