Oklahoma State junior safety Tre Flowers started every game in 2015 after producing six starts as a redshirt freshman the year before. A product of Judson High School in Converse, Texas, Flowers recorded tackles for loss in five different games last season and set a career high with 13 tackles in Oklahoma State’s game at West Virginia.
The story for Flowers though isn’t what he’s gained on the football field. It’s about what he’s been able to keep in his life off the field. In the video below Tre Flowers opens up about the accident that nearly took the life of his father.
Coming out of high school Flowers was rated as a consensus 3-star prospect. He chose to come to OSU, where he is also a member of the track team, over offers from Kansas State, Mississippi State, BYU, Boise State, Arizona State and Utah. Flowers was also a member of the Big 12 All Academic Team in 2015.
