2016 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 5 Days!

Geno Lewis wore jersey #7 for Penn State but the senior receiver has traded it off for a #5 crimson and cream jersey. A graduate transfer, Lewis brings experience and leadership to a position that needs it after losing Sterling Shepard to the NFL.

At 6-1/205, Lewis is a big body receiver who will remind Oklahoma fans of the previous Penn State transfer receiver, Justin Brown. A redshirt season in 2012 allowed Lewis the opportunity to transfer and play immediately as a graduate. His breakout season was 2014 where he caught 55 passes for 751 yards and two scores as a redshirt sophomore. He was limited to just 17 catches for 196 yards and three touchdowns in 2015 though. His best performance last season came against Georgia in the Taxslayer Bowl where he caught three passes for 53 yards and a touchdown against Georgia.

Lincoln Riley’s offense makes Norman the perfect safe haven for Lewis and his size and experience make Lewis the perfect addition to Riley’s offense.
