Oklahoma State senior receiver Marcell Ateman is making his last ride as a Cowboy. The 6-4/215 Dallas, Texas native has made a habit of being more athletic and more physical than the defensive backs who tried to cover him in 2015.
Last fall he set career marks for receptions in a game (8 vs. Iowa State), yards in a game (132 vs. Iowa State), and longest reception (82 vs. TCU). In his first season as a full-time starter, Ateman started every game but one for the Cowboys. He finished third on the team in both yards (766) and receptions (45). His five receiving touchdowns were the second best on the team and he consistently proved his ability to make big plays by logging 33 catches of ten yards or more.
Coming out of high school Ateman was ranked as a 4-star recruit by Rivals. In addition to Oklahoma State, he picked up scholarship offers from Arkansas, Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Missouri and Texas Tech.
