OKC Thunder Countdown to Tip-Off | 32 Days

On January 20th, 2016 the Oklahoma City Thunder recorded their 32nd victory of the season. OKC downed Charlotte by a final score of 109-95. The win came as a part of a seven game win streak for the Thunder where they had also won eight out of ten games.

Russell Westbrook led the way to this win even though he did not shoot well from the field. He was 5-14 on the night with 16 points. He added 15 assists and had 8 rebounds to push the Thunder past Charlotte. Steven Adams also came up huge with a double-double. He finished the evening with 10 points and 10 rebounds on just 28 minutes.

The biggest take away from this game is Westbrook’s ability to be the production leader even though he was struggling to shoot. When asked about his performance he told ESPN, “With the weapons we have, the best way for us to play and the best way for myself to play is to find those guys, get those guys shots, and I can score when I need to,”. This kind of performance from Westbrook should come as great encouragement for Thunder fans.
