Oklahoma Football Injury Report | Matt Dimon And Tay Evans Out For TCU

Wednesday evening’s post practice reports came with the news that key defensive players Matt Dimon and Tay Evans will not be available for the TCU game this weekend.

Dimon, a senior defensive lineman who has only recorded two tackles on the season (one for loss), will most likely give way to redshirt freshman Neville Gallimore. A native of St. Catherine’s, Canada, Gallimore has become a fan favorite after making an impressive debut against Louisiana-Monroe. For the season, Gallimore has recorded 10 tackles, 3 for loss, and a sack.

The loss of Tay Evans (10 tackles on the season) most likely means we’ll see more of JUCO transfer Emmanuel Beal who is off to a great start of the season as well. The transfer from Lackawanna College tied for the team-high in tackles against Ohio State (8) and has 17 total tackles, with a forced fumble, on the season.

While it’s never good news to hear that players are injured the silver lining here is that Oklahoma is experienced in their two-deep at the positions in question. Not quite sure how much deeper they’ll go from here though.
