Dimon, a senior defensive lineman who has only recorded two tackles on the season (one for loss), will most likely give way to redshirt freshman Neville Gallimore. A native of St. Catherine’s, Canada, Gallimore has become a fan favorite after making an impressive debut against Louisiana-Monroe. For the season, Gallimore has recorded 10 tackles, 3 for loss, and a sack.
The loss of Tay Evans (10 tackles on the season) most likely means we’ll see more of JUCO transfer Emmanuel Beal who is off to a great start of the season as well. The transfer from Lackawanna College tied for the team-high in tackles against Ohio State (8) and has 17 total tackles, with a forced fumble, on the season.
While it’s never good news to hear that players are injured the silver lining here is that Oklahoma is experienced in their two-deep at the positions in question. Not quite sure how much deeper they’ll go from here though.
