It’s never a bad day when you land a 4-star running back who is simply running over all of his competition in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The Sooners have done just that with 2017 running back Kennedy Brooks 6-0/197 from Mansfield, TX.
Brooks announced his commit to the Sooners earlier today on twitter with the following tweet.
I'm so blessed to say I'm officially committed to The University of Oklahoma pic.twitter.com/NOt5nDkGDK

Brooks committed to OU over offers from schools like Arkansas, Illinois, KSU, Michigan, Mizzou, OKState, Texas A&M, TTech, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Brooks had an incredible junior season rushing for 3,522 yards and 42 touchdowns.
Brooks gives the Sooners 20 commits for the class of 2017, 15 of which are 4-star players. Brooks joins fellow 2017 4-Star running back Trey Sermon (6-1/220) and 3-Star JUCO RB Marcelias Sutton 5-10/195.
With the possibility of losing both Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine to the NFL draft, restocking the Sooners backfield is a huge priority for this recruiting cycle. The Sooners have more than accomplished that goal with the commitment of Brooks earlier this afternoon.
