Oklahoma Sooners Recruiting Update 12-7-16: Marquise Brown, Tyreece Lott, and Reese Leitao

Today was super eventful day for the Sooner 2017 recruiting class especially along the defensive line. The Sooners offer to in-state prospects at defensive end today in Tyreece Lott and Reese Leitao. Here is our breakdown of each prospect.

Tyreece Lott 6-3/265 from Ardmore, OK

Lott has flown under the radar until recently and has picked up offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, and now the Sooners.

Lott would fill a need along the defensive line for the Sooners (particularly at DE). His frame should easily allow him to play at 280-290 pounds. His a a plus athlete in high school. Lott will likely visit OU at some point in January. I would imagine the Sooners will be difficult to beat on this one.

Reese Leitao 6-4/235 from Jenks, OK. (Nebraska Commit)

Reese is being recruited at DE as well. I am not sure what the status of Leitao’s commitment will be to Nebraska after picking up offers from Texas  and the Sooners, but an eventual visit to the Sooners wouldn’t shock me in the least.

JUCO WR Marquise Brown 5-11/175 from College of the Canyons Santa Clarita, CA

Brown was though to be visiting USC this weekend, but that all changed and now he is down to both WVU and OU. He visited the ‘Eers when they were destroyed by the Sooners and OU for Bedlam. He will decide on December 15th. This one looks really good for the Sooners.
