Eight programs have secured a spot in Oklahoma City and the Women’s College World Series. Set to being on June 1, the tournament pairs a few familiar foes against one another in the opening round. One of those pairings features two Big 12 heavyweights.

Earning the No. 15 Seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Baylor Bears are the lowest seeded team remaining. However, seedings can easily distract from the level of talent a ballclub possesses. After downing No. 2 Arizona in the Tucson Super Regional, Baylor certainly won’t find themselves being overlooked. Hoping to build a win streak that leads straight to the Championship Series, the Bears face the Oklahoma Sooners.

Suffering a single conference blemish on the year, Baylor dished out a 4-3 loss to Oklahoma in Norman back in April. Throwing Paige Parker the next outing, the Sooners took the series en route to a Conference Championship. Although the Bears have seen Parker over the course of 13.1 innings in 2017, the program simply has not been able to figure her out. Over the course of the weekend in April, Parker struck out 15 Baylor batters.

Set for an 8:30 PM start time on Thursday, the action can be viewed on ESPN2.
