Lost in the crazy event that was the NBA Awards show on Monday night, was the third award that Russell Westbrook won. Westbrook won the “Game Winner of the Year” award. The award was given to his shot against the Denver Nuggets during the same game he recorded his 42nd triple-double. He finished the game with 50 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists.
The Thunder trailed for nearly the entire game, until Russell Westbrook willed them to victory within the final three minutes. The team trailed by 10 points with about two and half minutes to go. However, Russell Westbrook did what he does best and took over.
