After showing promise as a freshman on the court, Kristian Doolittle has been suspended for the Fall Semester. According to a press release issued Wednesday afternoong, Doolittle failed to maintain the academic standard required for all student athletes. The result means the forward must focus on grades in the coming months.

“I didn’t meet the academic standards and I apologize to my teammates, coaches, fans, and the university. I take full responsibility for my actions and will use this time away from the team to learn from my mistakes” mentioned Doolittle. “I am committed to bettering myself throughout this process and look forward to earning a chance to compete with my teammates after the fall semester.”

Last season the Oklahoma product put up 9.1 points per game and 6.2 rebounds while earning 25 starts. Anticipation over what could be continued to build around the budding star especially after the performances on the international level this summer. Unfortunately fans must wait until the conference slate begins before getting a chance to see Doolittle in action once again — assuming everything goes according to plan.
